Crownless Crest: Saudi Giants Al Nassr Unveil Modern, Minimalist New Logo

Saudi Arabian football powerhouse Al Nassr FC has officially unveiled a brand-new club logo, a core project of its brand redesign to celebrate its 70th anniversary. The new logo, featuring a bold and modern circular design, will be fully implemented starting from the 2025-26 season. It aims to connect the club's glorious history with its ambitious future through a more contemporary visual identity.
Founded in 1955, Al Nassr FC is one of the most prestigious football clubs in Saudi Arabia's capital, Riyadh. Its Arabic name, "النصر" (Al-Nassr), means "The Victory," and the team is famous for its iconic yellow and blue kits. In recent years, the club's global profile has soared to new heights following the signing of international superstar Cristiano Ronaldo.

The new Al Nassr logo is a clean, circular badge that retains the club's traditional deep blue and yellow colors. At its center is a stylized map of the Arabian Peninsula, encircled by minimalist curves that lend a dynamic feel to the overall design. The upper half of the crest features the club's English name, "NASSR," in a sans-serif font, while the lower half displays its home city and founding year, "RIYADH 1955." The entire design forgoes the complex decorative elements of the previous logo for a more focused and powerful look.
This logo update is intended to modernize the brand's image for the digital age and meet the demands of international marketing. The official launch video was captioned with the phrase, "Great legacy & history, hopeful future," emphasizing the significance of this rebrand in bridging the past and the future.

Removing the crown and ornate trim from the top of the old crest is one of the most significant changes, a move that aligns with the minimalist trend in contemporary football branding. At the same time, retaining the core element of the Arabian Peninsula map pays homage to the club's roots while conveying a sense of focus and precision through simplified line work.
According to official information released by the club, the new logo will be formally applied across all platforms from the 2025-26 season, including on kits, training gear, social media, and all official merchandise. This unified visual upgrade will help Al Nassr establish a clearer and more recognizable brand identity on a global scale.
