Exclusive: Danish Giants FC Copenhagen Planning Brand Identity Revamp

According to an exclusive report from the renowned football gear and design news site Footy Headlines, Danish Superligaen giants F.C. Copenhagen are planning a major brand identity update, which includes the launch of a brand-new club logo. If the report is accurate, this would be the club's first logo change since its founding in 1992.

F.C. Copenhagen is one of Denmark's undisputed football powerhouses and a perennial champion of the Danish Superliga. The club was established in 1992 through the merger of the professional football departments of two historic Copenhagen clubs: Kjøbenhavns Boldklub (KB), one of the oldest existing football clubs on the European continent, and Boldklubben 1903 (B1903).

The club's current logo, featuring a blue lion's head and the city's name within a circular shape, has been an unchanging symbol of the club since its inception in 1992. This emblem has been present for all 16 of the club's Danish Superliga titles and its memorable journeys in European football history, becoming a highly recognizable symbol both domestically and on the European stage. However, as the globalization and commercialization of football clubs accelerate, many are looking to update their visual identities to attract a new generation of fans and enhance their commercial value.
Currently, there is no official information regarding the release date of the new logo. Footy Headlines speculates that the new emblem will be launched sometime in 2026 to coincide with the 150th-anniversary celebrations of its parent club, KB.
